Usage of ICT in prisons
ICT is a
very good tool for evangelism. However, it is not allowed for anyone to bring phones
into the prisons. The reasons are not too clear to me than that the authorities
do not want electronic communications between the evangelists and prisons. If
allowed, discipleship would have been a lot easier through conferencing. Is
there a way out?
HERE ARE MY SUGGESTIONS
1.
PFN (Prison Fellowship of Nigeria) puts up a
position paper to allow internet facilities in all positions.
2. Eithers PFN/Nigerians Prisons preferably Federal
Government, monitors the usage
3. PFN with churches should organize days for
discipleship programs with each prison.
On the chosen day, a web
conference will be made, internet facility will be used and more prisoners will
be opened to discipleship and the Holy Spirit will work on both sides.
What
is your opinion on this?
Discipleship will be made easy, the church may help set up a video conferencing room where remote services can take place and discipleship strengthen but this has to come with care as many of the inmates crave for a one on one care and interactions. God bless you ma
